Acer palmatum 'Baby Lace'
Common Name: Baby Lace Japanese Maple
Form: Mounding
Sun Tolerance:
Min Hardiness: 6
Growth Rate: Dwarf
10-year (HxW):
Dissectum. A small-leafed and slow-growing
laceleaf. Leaves are very thin and delicate
which makes many layers of leaves show. Spring
leaves and new growth emerge reddish-orange.
As leaves age and elongate, the lobe margins
appear purplish-burgundy with light green
venation. The appearance of new growth on top
of older foliage is especially colorful with
red, orange, purple and green tones. Should be
planted in a protected location. Fantastic
orange-red fall color.
