Acer palmatum 'Ruby Ridge'
Common Name: Ruby Ridge Japanese Maple
Form: Upright
Sun Tolerance:
Min Hardiness: 5
Growth Rate: Intermediate
10-year (HxW):
Description:
The pink-red spring leaves become extremely
dark purple-red by summer and green by fall.
The palm-sized leaves are rugose (wrinkled)
which makes the tree and leaves seem coarse.
Some of the leaf coloring at the end of the
summer is probably due to necrosis (death of
some of the leaf cells). Fall colors are
orange and reds.
